Second Grade Teacher

About Amanda

Amanda is part of our Second Grade team at Renaissance Academy Charter School of the Arts!

Amanda grew up in Rochester, NY. She received her Bachelors from St. John Fisher in Childhood and Special Education and her Masters from Buffalo State in Curriculum and Instruction with an extension in Early Childhood Education (Birth – grade 2). Amanda worked as a Pre-Kindergarten teacher for 4 years before moving to Fayetteville, North Carolina to pursue her career in an Elementary classroom.  In Fayetteville, Amanda taught 1st grade.

As much as she loved her students, co-workers and the weather, Amanda moved back to Rochester in August 2015, following the birth of her first child, Dominic. Amanda is thrilled to be back working in her hometown and to be around her family again.

As an educator, Amanda strives to create a positive atmosphere for all of her students.  All students have the ability to succeed and Amanda is committed to helping her students gain confidence and reach their goals!  Amanda is very excited to be a part of the Renaissance team!
