KaTrina Kimble is a founding teacher of Renaissance Academy Charter School of The Arts. Ms. Kimble holds a Master of Science Degree in Management, with a concentration in Organizational Structure from Roberts Wesleyan College and a Master of Science Degree in Childhood and Special Education from St. John Fisher College. Ms. Kimble holds eight years teaching experience in urban education.
Ms. Kimble’s training and experience has been geared toward cultivating the minds of children and helping them to develop into well-rounded responsible individuals. Ms. Kimble strives to produce a rich learning environment designed to keep both advanced and reluctant learners engaged, which include differentiated instruction. In addition to closing the achievement gap, she strives to prepare all students to graduate from college. Ms. Kimble enjoys celebrating the gains students make throughout the year in all areas, especially in english language arts!
Family-teacher relationships are essential for learning about the student from an additional and valuable source as well as promote student well-being. Ms. Kimble is a strong believer that student success is obtained through a strong family-teacher partnership- where parents and teachers share responsibility for creating a working relationship that will help children succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.
Summer is Ms. Kimble’s favorite season of the year because she loves the beach, traveling to see family, reading novels, playing board games, outside sports, and rejuvenating for another fun school year. Ms. Kimble is the proud mother of Jordan Isaiah.
