About Rainamei

Originally from Orlando, FL, Rainamei Luna holds a Bachelor of Music in General Music Education with a piano primary from the Eastman School of Music. In the past, she has worked as a Suzuki Music Teacher, having collaborated with the executive director instructing group ensembles and individual lessons in both violin and piano to all levels of abilities. She has also worked as a Motor Disabilities Specialist at a Conductive Education Center, creating enrichment activities associated with motion and learning. 

 

After interning for a year, Rainamei served as Music Director for a local program, Music Play, that focused on family-centered music making, primarily with early childhood students and parents. Other past roles include: Theory in Motion Teacher at the Eastman Community Music School, Nursery Care Provider, and Substitute Teacher within the Greece district. Additionally, Rainamei is an avid researcher, having presented work at both state and national conferences, such as the NYSSMA Winter Conference and the NAfME (National Association for Music Education) Music Research and Teacher Education National Conference. Rainamei truly believes that everyone is musical and that we are all lifelong learners.

 

Currently, Rainamei teaches private piano lessons on a weekly basis and attends Teacher’s College, Columbia University for a Master’s in Music and Music Education.

 

Rainamei is very excited to be apart of the Renaissance team teaching Music and looks forward to a fantastic year with fantastic students!
