About Tammy

Tammy Reddinger is a general music and choir teacher at Renaissance Academy. She enjoys bringing the world of music to children.

 

Tammy has taught general music, choir, piano and band for the past 14 years. She started teaching as her second career in the Hilton Central School district and most recently returned to the US after teaching music at Yew Chung International School in Shanghai, China. Tammy enjoys experiencing culture and history of other countries through international travel. She has visited and co-taught in schools in Peru, Brazil, China, Finland, The Czech Republic and Morocco.

 

Tammy has a bachelor of arts degree in music education, a master of science degree in education administration and holds a permanent New York State certification in music education. She has taken three levels of Orff-Schulwerk certification and is trained in Dalcroze and Kodaly. She enjoys adjudicating piano for New York State Music Association (NYSSMA) in her “spare time”.
