Dear Families,
The leaves are changing, the air is brisk… fall is officially upon us! At Renaissance Academy every year, with fall comes celebrating Halloween at the end of the month. We will be having our annual Fall/Halloween Celebration on Monday, October 31st. Please see the information regarding the celebration below:
We will have a virtual parade on the day of the celebration. Mrs. Loftus, Ms. Tolbert, Mrs. Tobeck and Dr. Loury will come around and stream the classroom costumes. The rest of the school will have the Zoom link up on their screen to watch the costume āparadeā. The parade will start approximately at 3:30pm.
Unfortunately,. we will not be having any parents join us here in the building for this event.
For the celebration, students are able to bring costumes to school, preferably that can go over their uniforms.
If a child does not have a costume or does not celebrate Halloween, pajamas can be worn to school that day in its place.
Here are our costume guidelines for your review:
Children are to come to school in their uniform or pajamas with their costume in a bag - no face makeup on and no spray in their hair.
Violent and/or inappropriate costumes are not permitted
Children will not be allowed to bring toy weapons (i.e. guns, swords, etc…)
Children will not be allowed to wear full-face masks or bring in hairspray.
If you do not want your child to participate in the celebration, please let your childās teacher know and we will have a separate activity available at the time of the parade.
Sincerely,
Kristin Loftus and Ruth Tolbert
Principal and Assistant Principal
